University of Cape Town UCT Online Application 2023

UCT Application portal opens. The University of Cape Town is currently accepting applications from prospective students.

The application portal is open for both applicants to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate study programs at UTC.

Online UCT Application Requirements

The University of Cape Town online application requirements are split into UCT application requirements for South African applicants and UCT application requirements for international students.

These application requirements must be strictly followed. An applicant who does not meet these requirements will not be processed.

UCT Application Requirements for South African Applicants

For South African citizens applying to the University of Cape Town, you will need;

  • An email address
  • A mobile number
  • An identification card (ID)
  • A copy of the Grade 11 or Grade 12 exam results

UCT Application Requirements for International Student Applicants

International students applying to the University of Cape Town must have;

  • A valid passport from the home country
  • South African medical test
  • Knowledge of English
  • A certificate equivalent to South African Grade 12 or above.

How to Apply – UCT Online Application

To apply to the University of Cape Town, you must first have sat for the NBTS. You can apply to UCT by following the steps below;

  • Go to www.uct.ac.za
  • Click on the apply online tap
  • Select the faculty for which you want to apply for a study permit
  • Select whether you want accommodation or not
  • Fill in the forms
  • Submit your application

At this stage, your UCT application has been submitted to the University of Cape Town online application portal.

When is the UCT Online Application 2023 Opening Date?

The UCT online application opens on May 1, 2022. Applicants may begin their online application at the University of Cape Town on or after 1 May 2022.

UCT Online Application 2023 Closing Date

the closing date of the UCT application is for 2023 August 31, 2022. All potential applicants are urged to submit their online applications before the date.

If you do not apply before the University of Cape Town application closing date of 31 August 2022, your application will not be successful.

Applicants are advised to apply as soon as possible before the UCT application deadline of 31 August 2022.

How much is the UCT application fee?

The UCT application fee is R100 for South African applicants, R750 for international applicants and R300 for GSB applicants from Africa.

This application UCT fee is non-refundable. Once paid, applicants cannot get it back if they are not admitted. The application fee at the University of Cape Town does not count towards tuition fees.
