MJF Names The Only Wrestling Promotion He Wouldn’t Work For

MJF has no plans to get into a New Japan Pro-Wrestling ring.

MJF recently returned to AEW by winning the Casino Ladder Match (under a mask) at the All Out pay-per-view. It was explained in the storyline that Tony Khan, the CEO of AEW, increased MJF’s salary without signing him for a contract extension to get him to return. MJF told Ariel Helwani on “The MMA Hour” that he noticed how much top stars from other companies made compared to him. Although there was one company that he was not involved in.

“I’m just saying I’ve seen what a lot of top guys across the board made, except I don’t pay attention to New Japan,” MJF said. “It’s a bullshit promotion, dogsh*t, and the fact that people are still talking about it like it’s something I think is hilarious, whatever. [Kazuchika] Okada No. 2? Is that what it was with PWI 500? I guess I haven’t heard that guy’s name since 2014. Who cares?”

MJF has made it very clear that he is open to any promotion as long as they open the checkbook except NJPW. However, he did say that he is a fan of Great-O-Khan. MJF’s AEW contract expires in 2022.
