Game of Thrones Fan Favorite Heading to Paramount+’s Yellowstone Spinoff

A Game of Thrones star goes back in time… again.

Jerome Flynnwho played the famous Lannisters right-hand man Bronn on HBO’s Game of Thronesis now making a trip back to 1923 on Paramount+’s latest Yellowstone spin off. In the series entitled 1923, Flynn will play Banner Creighton, who is described per E! News as “a stubborn Scotsman and leader of the local sheepmen.”

This is of course not the Game of Thrones fan favorite’s foray into television, as he is also known for his work in Ripper Street, black mirror and soldier, soldier.

What can we expect from? 1923? According to the streamer, 1923 is an “origin story” of the Dutton family, who were the central characters in Yellowstone and another prequel spin-off, 1883.

Two generations have now passed, and we will see the life of the Duttons in the 1900s as they “struggle to survive historic droughts, lawlessness and prohibitions, and an epidemic of cattle theft,” the streamer said, “all battling under the clouds of the Great Depression of Montana, which predated the nation by nearly a decade.”

Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren lead the series as the new Dutton patriarch and matriarch, Jacob Dutton and Cara Dutton, respectively.

The prequel also has stars Robert Patrick, Marley Shelton, James Badge Dale, Brian Geraghty, Julia Schlapfer, Michelle Randolph, Brandon Slenarand newcomer Aminah Nieves.

1923 is currently in production and will be released on Paramount+ in December.
