Al Roker leaves hospital after missing Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Al Roker is “so very thankful” for coming home with his family for Thanksgiving.

The “Today” meteorologist shared a health update with fans via social media on Thursday after missing the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time in 27 years.

A cheerful Roker, 68, posted a video of himself in comfortable clothes walking the corridors of a hospital.

“Okay, this is my version of the Thanksgiving Day Parade,” he said. “Get ready to leave the hospital. Time to blow up this taco stand. Woohoo!”

The weather anchor later informed fans that he made it home just “in time” to catch some commentary on the parade from “Today” colleagues Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.

“So very #grateful to be home for #thanksgiving #dinner with #family,” he wrote in another post shared via Instagram.

Barbara Ann Corcoran also chimed in, writing, “Sending you all my love! Happy Thanksgiving ❤️❤️❤️.”

As Page Six previously reported, Roker skipped the annual New York City television parade this year due to ongoing health issues, with meteorologist Dylan Dreyer replacing him.

“So many of you have thoughtfully asked where I’ve been,” Roker wrote in a Nov. 18 Instagram post amid growing concern over his absence from the “Today” show.

“Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which caused some clots to end up in my lungs. After some medical whack-a-mole, I am lucky enough to receive great medical care and be on the road to recovery.

Roker concluded his post by thanking fans for “all the best wishes” and prayers.

“Hope to see you soon,” he added. “Have a nice weekend everyone.”
