Eligibility Criteria for Chinese Government SWUFE Scholarships 2023

Applicants for the 2023 Chinese Government SWUFE Scholarship must have the following in their possession before attempting to apply for the scholarship;

  • Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport in accordance with the nationality law of the People’s Republic of China.
  • Applicants must abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government and local government, as well as the regulations of SWUFE.
  • Students (applying to a master’s program) or postgraduate students (applying to a doctoral program) graduating in the current year must obtain a nationally recognized corresponding degree before enrolling in the year of admission, otherwise the admission qualification will be invalid.
  • Applicants have a nationally recognized bachelor’s degree (applying for a master’s degree program) or master’s degree (applying for a doctoral degree program)
  • Registration for master’s programme: 18-35 years, registration for doctoral programme: 18-40 years.
  • Applicants whose native language is English, or who can provide proof of study in a 2-year or higher degree program in which the language of instruction is English, are not required to provide a language certificate.
