16 Best Black Friday Mattress Deals (2022): Bedsheets, Pillows, Blankets

Sleep is essential, but it’s not always easy. Some people can sleep on a wooden board, and some of us need the perfect mattress, the freshest sheets perfectly tucked away, and a nice sound machine crackling nearby. Fortunately, there are Black Friday deals for all those things. The mattress prices listed here are for the queen-size version.

WIRED’s Black Friday coverage

We test products all year round and have handpicked these deals. Products that are sold out or are no longer discounted as of publication are crossed out. We’ll be updating this guide over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend.

If you purchase something through links in our stories, we may earn a commission. This supports our journalism. Learn more.

Mattresses Offers

When it comes to mattresses, the rule is never to pay full price. No matter the time of year, there’s always a sale coming up. List prices are set artificially high so that deals appear extravagant but are not. We’ve picked out the best deals below, but our Best Mattresses guide has more options and detailed explanations of hybrid versus full foam.

Helix Midnight Luxury hybrid mattress

Photo: Helix Sleep

This is our favorite mattress, and it’s the one you should buy if money is no object. This is the same price as during the Memorial Day sale and $50 more than last Black Friday (the base price has increased). Living up to its Luxe name, it’s plush and pillowy on the top, but it still has a medium-firm feel that’s good for all sleeping positions. The discount amount depends on the size you choose. Click the View Offer button at the top of the website to see exactly how much and which code to apply at checkout. Each mattress order comes with two pillows.

Don’t want to spend as much money as the Helix? Casper is an all-around great option if you’re not sure which mattress to buy. It’s what our reviewer called “as close to a standard as beds come.” You get soft support, better breathability and edge support than on a full foam mattress.

Tuft & Needle Mint Mattress

This mattress is ideal if you need pressure relief to help you sleep better at night. You sink into the top layer of adaptive foam, it feels supportive. There’s green ceramic gel foam to dissipate heat, and it manages to hold its shape so there won’t be a person-shaped outline the next night.

Does the thought of spending over a thousand on a bed keep you awake at night? Well this is a solid deal. The Nectar mattress is a good option for side sleepers. MSRP is $999, but we usually see it drop to $799, so this is indeed a real discount. It’s a full foam bed, not a hybrid, but it’s just soft enough – it sinks in, but doesn’t swallow you up. If you want to add two pillows, sheets, and a mattress topper, you’ll need to add the accessories offered for $99.

Sound machine offers

You can find more recommendations in our Best sound machines guide.

Hatch Restore sound machine

Click the coupon button on the page to see the discount at checkout. If you want a sound machine and a sunrise alarm (plus a digital clock!), Hatch hits the spot here. The app allows you to program your basic morning and night routines and select your alarm and sleep sounds. It’s still pricey even with this discount. Subscribing to the Hatch Sleep membership gives you a changing library of sounds, stories, and meditations, but it’s not required.

Click the coupon button on the page to see the discount at checkout. This version of the Hatch is intended for babies, but anyone can use it. It has child-specific features, namely the time-to-rest and time-to-rise lights. It’s good for early risers not to annoy their parents on their only day to sleep in, but it can also be helpful for adults who need to be reminded to put their phones down and take a moment to sleep in. to come. The app lets you adjust colors and browse sounds. The second generation version uses Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth.

Morphée Sleep Meditation Box

I really like Morphée products. They are carefully crafted and screenless. You can get a basic sound machine for cheaper, but it also adds meditations. You can go from crackling fireplace sounds to meditative sessions designed to help you fall into a deep sleep. The downside is that you can only choose between 8 or 20 minutes of play; I wish it played sounds continuously.

Buy these for kids. Not only is it adorable, but the meditations also take kids on a journey with a companion animal. I gave one to a friend whose daughter loves it, listening as she lugs it from room to room. It has the same time constraints as the adult version.

Weighted blanket offers

Our Best Weighted Blankets guide breaks down weights and sizes and has more choices.

Yaasa weighted blanket

Yaasa’s weighted blanket is expensive and rarely discounted, but it’s our favorite if you like a stiff, heavy blanket. The open knit design is nice and allows air to circulate if you are a warm sleeper like me. It also feels so much heavier than other options (this is a good thing!). You can get it in 15 or 20 pound sizes.

Gravity is perhaps the best-known company with weighted blankets, and this blanket is the first affordable version. It left nothing to be desired – I loved sleeping with it. It’s 15 pounds and the perfect size for one person to enjoy without annoying their partner. It is machine washable, but there are also a few cover options. Buying the blanket from Amazon gets you another 10 percent off the page.

Brooklinen weighted blanket

Photo: Brookline

You can get a great blanket for less with the Gravity option above, but Brooklinen’s is beautiful, especially in the terracotta and dark green colors. It’s a nice 12 pounds, with a satisfyingly textured side and a smooth cotton side.

The discount is automatically deducted at checkout. Baloo’s throw is slightly smaller than Brooklinen’s, so it might be better for solo sleepers (or if your partner doesn’t like weighted blankets). It is a crispy cool cotton and linen duvet covers are available in very beautiful colors. The blanket can also be machine washed and dried.

Buffy wobble cushion

Body pillows are generally about the same height as you or slightly shorter. This Wiggle pillow allows me to wrap it around me, cocooning in between with my head on it. I sleep so good when I squeeze this. The brand also makes fuzzy covers, but they are currently sold out. The cover makes it feel like a teddy bear, but I like the cooling feeling without it.

WIRED reviewer Haley Sprankle has tested bedding, and these satin sheets from Brooklinen are a frontrunner. She says they feel buttery soft but don’t get warm at night. They also come in beautiful, muted colors and even some patterns like a stunning kaleidoscope.

Blissy’s silk mask is cooling and comfortable, and it blocks all light so I can sleep. It is also available in 38 (!!) colors and patterns. I alternate between this and Nodpod’s weighted sleeping mask.

Julian Chokkattu, editor of WIRED reviews, likes Parachute’s crisp percale sheets, but the brand’s linen, satin, and cotton options are also available. They don’t come in a set though, so you’ll need to buy a top sheet separately for $64 ($16 off) and a fitted sheet for $72 ($18 off) – there are shams for $63 ($16 off) if you have them required. If you don’t sleep with a top sheet, this might be an advantage for you.
