2022 Presidents Cup scores, results: Live coverage, standings, golf updates, schedule for Day 2 on Friday

The United States takes an impressive 4-1 lead on Day 2 of the 2022 Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow Golf Club. The US looked good in Charlotte, and the Americans look set to win their 12th Presidents Cup if all goes according to plan. In addition to their foursome dominance on Thursday, they are now turning their attention to four-ball, where the American side has been square with the international team since 2007.

The Internationals squad once again sends Adam Scott out first, despite the fact that the oldest member of the away team struggled massively with Hideki Matsuyama on Day 1. He will be paired with compatriot Cameron Davis as the pair look to take out the American duo of Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth. A total of five four-ball games will be played as Trevor Immelman’s squad tries to fight its way back into the fray.

Despite all the opponents, a three-point deficit at the start of the competition is not insurmountable for an away team, as the US showed at Royal Melbourne in 2019. In Australia, the US lost the first session by the exact same 4-1 score to lift the Presidents Cup by the end of the week with a 16-14 win. While the international team is unlikely to repeat this feat, it remains a possibility heading into the second day of the event.
